As an associate at Welty & Associates, a traditional architectural firm with a specialization in new residential construction and house remodels, Bryan frequently encountered homeowners who wanted the design expertise of an architect, but couldn't afford to hire one. Financially strapped by high construction costs, Bryan found these homeowners were willing to sacrifice the know-how of an architect and, instead, rely on the advice of their contractor or draw on their own ingenuity to design their project.
