About VirtualArchitect.com
Launched by a young designer with a vision, VirtualArchitect.com evolved from a small, brick-and-mortar architectural firm in Dallas, TX. At 34, Bryan Welty is the entrepreneurial spirit of the site and the
architectural boy wonder behind the box.
As an associate at Welty & Associates, a traditional architectural
firm with a specialization in new residential construction and house
remodels, Bryan frequently encountered homeowners who wanted
the design expertise of an architect, but couldn't afford to hire
one. Financially strapped by high construction costs, Bryan
found these homeowners were willing to sacrifice the know-how of
an architect and, instead, rely on the advice of their contractor
or draw on their own ingenuity to design their project.
"What these homeowners don't realize," says Bryan, "is that a good design plan from an architect guarantees a successful, more cost-efficient project."
Inspired by the growing number of Internet users who want the ease and convenience of obtaining professional services via the Web, Bryan envisioned VirtualArchitect as a medium to extend architectural services to even the most cost-conscious consumer.
Good design doesn't have to be expensive, nor does it have to be difficult to achieve. By providing fast, convenient, affordable design ideas to Internet consumers, our team of cyber architects will introduce elements of style that can easily and economically be incorporated in everyone's home, even the most modest spaces.
We intend to revolutionize the architectural profession by speeding up the design process and eliminating the costly, time-consuming, and often intimidating experience of consulting with an architect in person. By offering convenience, efficiency, and economy to the consumer, we aim to make good architectural design more accessible and more appealing to the general public. Without having to go to the trouble of finding an architect, setting up a meeting, waiting for a design, and paying a high fee, a process that used to take several weeks will involve nothing but a series of mouse clicks in the comfort of one's own home.
Unable to afford an architect and weary of wandering from website
to website in search of specific design advice, homeowners now have
a convenient new online resource. From creating an addition to
your bedroom to designing a custom home, the expertise of our team
of virtual architects is a mouse click away.
