Virtual Architect is currently featured in the Wall Street Journal.

Let one of our architects design your project for you with professional architectural sketches. Get-A-Sketch is VirtualArchitect.com's exclusive interactive feature
to help you plan and design your remodel, addition, or new house project.

As part of our Get-A-Sketch service,
you will receive a series of architectural sketches, including floor plans and exterior elevations, custom-designed for your project. The sketches are sent via e-mail and hard copies are sent via UPS Second Day Air. You will also receive a free construction cost estimate and follow-up consultation.

Send us your project information

With our Get-A-Sketch service, a real architect will create a conceptual plan of your project before you begin the work. Get-A-Sketch is a good place to start because it is the same service a traditional architect would provide to you during an initial consultation. But our Get-A-Sketch service is more affordable and more convenient.

Our Get-A-Sketch Designs are architectural sketches with enough detail and clarity for homeowners to convey their ideas to a contractor, get cost estimates for construction, or visualize the transformation of a remodel or addition. Depending on your project, they may also be used for construction.

  • A plan for your home improvement project, like removing a wall to expand your family room, building an outdoor deck, porch, or entryway.
Most design professionals agree the planning and design stage is the most important step in any project. In fact, the more time you spend on the design stage, the more likely you will achieve your project goals and be happy with the results.

Once you receive your Get-A-Sketch Design, you can implement our plan in a number of different ways:

  • It can be used to create a preliminary design of your remodel, addition, or new house project. You can then present your Get-A-Sketch Design to contractors for cost estimates. Once you are ready to build your project, the Get-A-Sketch Design can be used as a basis for the construction drawings.
  • It can be used as a construction plans for simple home remodel projects, like building a porch or entryway.
  • For home improvement projects, like building a porch addition or building an outdoor deck, you many need nothing more than a Get-A-Sketch design to get a building permit and complete construction.
  • Or you can use a Get-A-Sketch Design as a visualization tool to envision the renovations that are possible to create your dream home. Use the design for future planning of a remodel, addition, or new house, finding out a cost estimate of a potential project, or just for fun.

What our clients are saying about the Get-A-Sketch service:

"Bryan drew up the floor plans of my dream house from a primitive sketch that I e-mailed him. The final products - sketches, blueprints, and perspective drawings - were all great. Bryan's responses to all my inquiries were speedy, and thorough. Not to mention the cost was very fair. I enjoyed working with VirtualArchitect. What a great concept!"
